Focused Campaigns: Proven Tactics to Boost Engagement

As we enter the second half of the year, it’s the perfect time to double down on strategies that drive meaningful engagement. The goal - maintain consistent engagement throughout the year, rather than peaks and valleys.

Here are a few tried-and-true tactics that are gaining traction across our client base. Whether promoting mental health, preventive care, summer activities, or Open Enrollment, these ideas get results.

🎯 Align with National Health Observances

National health observances are opportunities to focus employee attention. When wellbeing topics are part of the broader conversation, employees are more likely to engage. Focused campaigns help connect these moments to practical support.

For example, during Mental Health Month in May, Navigate implemented a structured engagement strategy supporting employees’ understanding and mental wellbeing. Participants received curated educational materials and engagement touchpoints via the Navigate Engagement Series, including digital articles, platform resources, and custom Wellbeing Webinars led by expert coaches. Check out the Mental Health Month campaign blog for additional details and ideas to support mental health all year.

💡Make Wellbeing Easy to Access – and Hard to Ignore

Engaging employees – especially those less likely to respond to digital messages – requires meeting them where they are. Consider setting up “stop-by” tables at their worksites, immediately following team huddles or meetings. These approachable hubs offer employees a chance to ask questions, meet wellbeing champions, pick up handouts, and get real-time support in a casual space.

⚽⚾🏀Score! Reminders

Summer is packed with basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer moments, making it a great time to bring that same energy into your wellbeing program.

Encourage employees to check their progress by completing the Wellbeing Survey and Total Health Survey (and even earn rewards) to view their Wellbeing or Total Health Scores. Integrate biometrics into your platform? There’s a Score! here, too.

These scores can help participants better understand where they are today, identify opportunities for improvement, and take meaningful next steps in their wellbeing journey.

Consider sending targeted reminders to participants who have not yet completed their surveys. It is a quick and easy way to boost platform engagement while helping employees stay on track and make the most of the resources available to them.

🎤 And Don’t Forget Wellbeing Webinars

Clients can also take advantage of Navigate Wellbeing Webinars with just a few weeks’ lead time, making them a flexible option for busy seasons, timely initiatives, or areas where employees may need extra support.

Wellbeing Webinars can be especially helpful when your organization wants to reinforce key wellbeing pillars such as financial wellness, balance, physical activity, social connection, preventive care, or stress management. Each session is tailored to your program, benefits, resources, and workforce needs, so employees receive relevant information they can use right away.

To make activation even easier, Navigate also provides post-event marketing support and a webinar recording you can share again, giving your team one less thing to manage and helping you extend the value beyond the live event.

Pro Tip: Pair Navigate Wellbeing Webinars with organization-wide events, such as United Way campaigns, charity initiatives, employee appreciation events, or annual meetings, to show support for employees and your broader community at the same time.
